Finale’s area has a rich small karstic systems which gathers surface water and then, through underground passages, bring it to the various resurgences. The most famous, and also typical one, is the one that winds its way through the undergrounds of Rocca Carpanea, just upriver of Finalborgo. It is possible to reach Pian Marino, the absorption site, following an easy path. We’ll visit the karst landscape, and talk about its peculiar traits and characteristics. In this area there are three explorable caves and fascinating as well. The day will be organised taking on account participants number and age. The main goal is to keep the outing pleasant and interesting, walking at an easy pace, trying in the meanwhile to unveil the full charm of the hypogeum world.
In addition, the Biospeleologists of the Associazione Biologia Sotterranea Piemonte, will illustrate and show the fauna of the caves where our excursion will takes place.
Outing is open to children from 6 to 17 years old accompanied by an adult.
At the end the organisation will offer a snack, it is recommended to bring your own water and packed lunch.

Equipment:
Hiking shoes, comfy trousers, fleece, rain jacket and a complete clothes’change. During the excursion the clothing could get wet or dirty with mud. Helmet and light will be provided by the organization
